Richard is Managing Director of a Conservation and Restoration company of listed and historic buildings, monuments and structures.
With a passion for everything outdoors he has experience in a wide range of disciplines including motorbike enduro, climbing, sailing and overland exploring, travelling throughout Europe in a 4x4 overland Landrover. Richard has completed the 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours climbing Ben Nevis, Scar fell Pike and Snowdon. The 2023 Arctic research Group expedition was the next challenge he had set his sights on and Richard enjoyed exploring the historic fabric of the Arctic islands.
Richard is firearms trained with over 35 years experience working with firearms out in the field and on licenced ranges, giving him skills and confidence that is a valuable contribution in the protection of the expedition team. With first aid training in trauma response up to National police firearms training Curriculum D.13 modules, Richard also brings a high level of medical capability, if required.
